The time has come once again for a New Orleans Creative Reuse Pop-up at the home of FatHappy Media! Come see us!

Pop-Up Details
This pop-up is designed to connect artists and creators with what they need to get their work done, be it materials or connecting with other local artists.
On the day of the event, you can expect to find tables filled with a wide assortment of goods to let your imagination run wild: anything from swatches of fabric to half-full tubs of acrylic paints, and from old issues of Seventeen magazine to a rubber chicken. Think of it as a thrift store for creative projects!

Everything up for offer at the event will be donation based, both in what is available (donated goods) and what the items cost (your money is a donation toward our growth). Pay what you can afford! No visitor to the pop-up will be turned away for lack of funds. If you see something you can use, talk to us, and we’ll make it work.
Pop-Up Dates
This time, the pop-up takes place across two consecutive days!
SATURDAY, 10/17
10 AM-3 PM
SUNDAY, 10/18
10 AM-3 PM
Location
FatHappy Media is located at 1941 Dauphine Street, close to Frenchmen Street. There is on-street parking around the building.
Donation Details
Leading up to the event, we will accept new and used goods that can be applied to creative endeavors. Think art supplies, paper goods, crafting tools, and stuff that would make someone a killer Mardi Gras fit.
The kind folks at FatHappy Media have offered to accept goods during business hours on weekdays from October 5, 2026 to October 16, 2026. They will be stored there until the event.
If you have an especially large donation, would want to coordinate a pickup, or have any other questions, fill out the form below and we can talk it out!
Donation Guidelines
Since we’re still learning, we don’t currently have official guidelines for what we accept, but the Donation Guide from Pittsburgh Center for Creative Arts is a good starting point to understand both what you can donate and what you can expect to find at the pop-up.
We agree with their general guidelines for condition of donations:
✅ Accepted
- New
- Gently Used
- Good condition
- Only slightly damaged
- Missing a few pieces or parts
❌ Not Accepted
- Toxic, leaking, unlabeled, rusty, or dangerous.
- Dirty, moldy, smelly, smoke-damaged, insect-damaged, in bad condition, or mothballed.
- Exposed to the elements for most of its life or stored outside.
- More appropriate for a thrift store.
- A personal care item or a used medical device.
- Stored food, medication or hazardous material.
If there are any specific questions that fall outside of these guidelines, fill out the form below!

Photos
Here are some photos from our last event, also at FatHappy on 6/8/26! The statue of Jesus is from the building’s former home as the Bishop Perry Center, “an outreach ministry for the poor and cultural center of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, St. Louis Cathedral Parish.”

Mission Statement
While we’re excited for the pop-up, our goals are bigger than that:
New Orleans Creative Reuse aims to encourage creativity, civic engagement and environmental stewardship by diverting goods from landfills with the intention of repurposing them as arts and crafts materials, emphasizing accessibility to all in the community.
